If your love’s heart beats to the beat of a red meat drum, I’ve got you covered.
Valentine’s Day needs not be a disappointment of sad, gray and overcooked beef. You’ve got it within your capable hands to pull of that rosy-pink interior that will make that special someone swoon.
I’ll keep this brief because my
employers kids have been running me ragged and I’m in dire need of a nap…and probably some Xanax and a long time out and, heck, throw in a therapist too.
In a nutshell these ribeyes are the subject of my dreams. What’s not to love about the sweet stickiness of golden caramelized onions amalgamated with butter and oozing into every fiber of the steak??
Each bite is filled with that time-developed sweet-acidity of those slowly stirred and carefully cultivated onions.
Don’t let the caramelized onions or the compound butter intimidate you. They talk a big talk but that’s all there is. They’re both super easy to whip together.
A compound butter is merely a butter mixed with something else. You could throw in herbs or garlic or lemon zest but on this occasion of love and sweet sappiness, we’re gonna add in some yummy, gooey onions.
Ah, there’s the love.
Makes me wanna swoon just looking at it.
