Christmas is coming! And everybody is getting fat. (Please tell me you know this song.) And that’s the way I like it.
When desserts cover every surface in a room and everyone sits with bulging bellies and chocolate-smeared faces, I am one content little elf on a shelf.
Chocolate simply must be represented on my holiday table. Nestled in between something fruity and something puckeringly tart…and maybe a buche de noel. (it’s a labor-intensive, sweaty brow, kitchen explosion tradition.)
I just cannot help myself.
This tart is absolutely DIVINE.
It has my guilty pleasure combination: BITTERSWEET CHOCOLATE + CARAMEL + SEA SALT.
The sweet, velvet richness of the caramel is tamed by the fudgy bittersweet chocolate ganache and my favorite accoutrement for any dish, sweet or savory: sea salt.
This tart is so silky-smooth and literally melts with one swipe of your fork.
It is worth getting fat for.
