The best way to make any food portable and snackably perfect – not to mention ideal for party grub – is to stab it through with a skewer.
Perhaps it’s the literal “hands-on” interaction with the food but there’s just something that I love about gnawing food off a skewer.
Of course not everything can be eaten off a skewer. (Don’t test me. I’ve tried. …although grilled cheese croutons on skewers in soup is quite genius!)
Being completely honest, I’ve got to say that these skewers are one of my favorites! Not to mention highly requested by my hubs.
What makes these so amazing?
Well, hello there perfectly cooked shrimp wrapped in crispy chipotle barbecue sauced BACON!
You can’t really hate anything wrapped in bacon. Brings it home every time.
The bacon hugging each piece of shrimp keeps those little crustaceans as moist and sweet as they inherently are while also giving them a delectable salty crunch.
Caramelized pineapple provides a balance for the heat of the chipotle barbecue sauce.
Getting it all in one bite is legendary.
